A Pathway For Success For All Ages

The 163rd IIT Scouts is a Scouts Canada group in Scarborough area of Ontario, Canada. It follows the Canadian Path methodology implementing the Four Key Elements and the Six Program Areas across the programs detailed below.

  • Beaver Scouts (Ages 5 - 7)

Beaver Scouts are the youngest age group in Scouts Canada and spend a lot of time doing outdoor activities such as campfires, nature walks, simple meal preparation, while learning critical social skills such as helping others to follow the character development motto: Sharing.

  • Cub Scouts (Ages 8 - 10)

Having graduated from Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts take it to the next level of social, intellectual, and leadership development. Cub Scouts are encouraged to be adventurous, to try new things such as STEM projects, and to follow the character development motto: Do Your Best.

  • Scouts (Ages 11 - 14)

Getting closer to becoming a teenager, Scouts are given more opportunities to lead by planning adventures and through various civic engagement activities. They are able to take on greater outdoor activities such as mountain biking and rock climbing. The character development motto they are taught to follow is: Be Prepared.

  • Venturer Scouts (Ages 15 - 17)

Venturer Scouts are at a critical stage in life where they get to prepare themselves for real-world experiences through career development and participating in more challenging outdoor activities including some international travels. The character development motto for Venturer Scouts is: Challenge.

  • Rover Scouts (Ages 18 - 26)

Rover Scouts are the oldest age group and are considered the most experienced. Their character development motto is: Go Beyond. With the support of a mentor, the focus is Personal Development as they learn to integrate and implement all that which they have learned over the years.
